Saving a CMOS (Standard Pendant):

Obtaining a system backup from an existing system is often the best way to utilize a TED unit while keeping your existing system in production. Obtaining the system backup is detailed in the following steps and then loading the files into the TED until will be detailed separately in "Loading a system CMOS". 

Often times systems have multiple stand-alone applications installed on them, be it UWI, SimpleConnect, MotoSight, PalletBuilder, or others. In cases like this where Moto+ applications and pendant applications are involved, a typical CMOS alone will not capture the pendant applications or Moto+ application. To obtain all the various applications, you want to take a "System File + CMOS" backup. This will obtain all the various robot and accessory applications and files and place them on the TED unit.

Using Standard Pendant:

  1. Enter "Management Mode" from within "Maintenance Mode":

 2. Choose "Ex Memory" :

3. Choose "Save":

 4. Select "System File + CMOS":

5. Confirm "Yes":

6. Confirm if you wish to overwrite an existing "System File" if one already exists on the drive:

 7. Confirm if you wish to overwrite an existing "CMOS.Bin" if one already exists on the drive:

8. A message will display on the bottom of the screen while the backup is being saved. Don't remove your external drive while the backup is in process!
