Bypassing ALARM 9127 "Collision Detect Must Be Enabled"

  • Updated

Once TEACH mode alarms have been cleared and work has been done in TEACH, users will be greeted by a “Collision Detect Must Be Enabled” alarm when switching to PLAY mode. To clear this alarm the system’s CIO program needs to be modified to remove that particular alarm because TED does not support the hardware required. To clear this alarm and enable PLAY mode operation do the following:

While logged into the TED with “Management Mode” access, navigate to “IN/OUT” à “Ladder Editor”:

From the “Edit” Menu, choose “Find Output Relays”:

Type in the value of “79777” as your search criteria:

That will take you to and highlight the rung of logic that ends in output 79777 being activated:

Return the “Edit” menu and choose “Cut Rung”. This will remove the highlight 79777 rung:

Return again to the “Edit” menu and choose “Compile” which should result in a “Check the Ladder was successful” popup indicating the alarm has been successfully removed.

Upon completion of the step above, you should now be able to place the TED in PLAY mode and begin job & logic execution.
