SimpleConnect also allows enabling of non-Ethernet/IP devices and options that are often discrete IO enabled devices like sensors, valves, lights. Commonly used devices are built-into SimpleConnect and CIO ladder exists for their implementation so that when enabled, they can instantly be used without needing to modify CIO and possibly JBIs. This convenience feature makes enabling or disabling these devices very easy for the average user.
